Jandia is the peninsula at the southern end of Fuerteventura. There are several resorts there meaning there is plenty to do and plenty of places to stay, the highest point on the island, Pico de Zarza is to be found there and once upon a time Jandia was separated from the rest of Fuerteventura by the sea. The deposits of sand that linked the two have resulted in some of the best beaches in the world. You will find German, Spanish and British owned bars and restaurants.
There are excursions to go on such as the zoo safari. You can ride a camel in the amazing lunar landscape of the Volcano Calderon Hondo.
