Business Travel Blogs

April 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Since the popularity of the internet has soared over the last decade it has now become virtually impossible not to find what you are looking for. Whether you want to buy something from the other side of the world, contact people you haven’t seen in years or get advice on anything from business travel to health problems, chances are that there is a website, blog, forum or article that will contain all the information you need.

Travel is by far one of the most common topics that you will find discussed over the internet. Whether its reviews of hotels and resorts, someone’s travel blog or travel agents offering advice about business travel, there are thousands of sites out there that make it so easy to find what you’re looking for.

The increasing number of cheap flights means that business travel is easier than ever and more and more companies are sending their employees abroad to meet customers in person. Whilst this is a great opportunity to see more of the world and learn new things, business travel can at times be stressful and lonely.

Fortunately there are various business travel blogs on the internet that offer all kinds of advice from what to do if you’re scared of flying to how to survive the stress of airports. These blogs can be very helpful especially if you are new to business travel and are looking for tips on how to get the most out of it.

Travel blogs are popular with millions of travellers all over the world because they are they best way to find out information about a country or hotel. Any company with a website is obviously trying to promote their business and therefore isn’t going to say anything negative about themselves. However, blogs are written by real people who want to share their experiences with others. Listening to what people have to say about a particular country, hotel or resort is likely to give you a more realistic portrayal of what somewhere is like because they aren’t biased about wherever they stayed.

Another good thing about business travel blogs is the fact that you can easily talk to other business travellers through forums or by commenting on articles. This is an ideal way to find out where is good, where is bad and what others recommend. As well as this they will be able to give you advice about how to get the most out of your trip and recommend places to go if you have any free time whilst on your trip.

Zante Holidays

February 22, 2008 · 1 Comment

zante holidaysWhen you go on holiday it can be difficult to decide where to go as there are so many options available nowadays. If you are looking for warm weather and beautiful beaches then Zante is the holiday island that dreams are made of. With a coastline roughly 123 kilometres in length, the island of Zante is trimmed with beautifully tranquil coves, broad white – sandy bays and resort beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see.

The island is the third largest of the Ionian Islands and most Southern of them all. Zante has a thriving tourism industry which caters for everyone. Party seekers can dance the night away in the bars and clubs on Zante’s vibrant club scene and then recover by day on one of Zante’s many quiet coves and beaches.

The resort of Laganas is situated on the South coast of the island and is the biggest and liveliest which is well known for its nightlife. Laganas has possibly the best beach on the island, and this is where Zante’s endangered loggerhead turtles nest. From here, it is easy to venture to the most photographed spot on Zante – the famous Smuggler’s Cove.Parents with young families come to Zante to take advantage of the rather more quiet and family focused resorts which provide entertainment for the kids and a well earned rest in the sun for mum and dad.

Argassi and Tsilivi are the most popular destinations for those after a quieter family holiday.

For those with the curiosity to explore the island, Zante offers stunning scenery, white cliffs, sleepy olive groves and dusky mountains. The roads on Zante are driveable and there are car hire companies aplenty. Zante also has some amazing cave dives, with marine life rich in moray eels, monk seals, octopus, and loggerhead turtles. Zante is a picturesque island with a village atmosphere. Holiday makers are as welcome in Zante’s friendly tavernas and local shops, as they are in Zante’s resort bars and shopping complexes. The natural beauty of the island and the variety of holidays available on Zante make it one of the top tourist destinations in Greece.

There is so much to see and do that it would be impossible to fit everything in. However, the best way to get around this is to stick with the things that are popular amongst other holiday makers as well.

The Turkish bath has been present in Turkey for thousands of years and is something that should definitely be done whilst on a short break in Turkey. They became popular when local residents didn’t have the facilities in their own houses so would go to the local public Turkish bath. It was tradition for people then to view going there as a day out and would prepare picnics to take with them to eat when they finished bathing. Despite the fact that most people now have baths in their own homes, the traditional Turkish bath is still as prevalent as ever and they can still be found in almost every neighbourhood of all the big towns and cities in the country.

The magic carpets are definitely something you will come across while on your short break in Turkey. Carpet weaving has long traditions and you can take trips and tours to learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Throughout the country you will see carpets for sale in every size, design and colour scheme in stalls, street – side shops and elegant showrooms. No trip to Turkey would be complete without a trip to a carpet shop and many claim that the purchase of a Turkish carpet is number one on their shopping list.

Taking a boat cruise on the Bosphorus (Istanbul) will probably be one of the highlights of your short break in Turkey. You will see so many sites that you literally won’t know where to look including the Selimiye Barracks where Florence Nightingale worked, Topkapi Palace, Rumeli Hisari and many more stunning sites. You can chose whether to take a traditional Istanbul ferryboat or a faster TurYol boat depending on how long you want to stay.
Folk and belly dancing performances are both very popular forms of entertainment in Turkey.

Belly dancing is called “gobek dans” and it is still custom for the bride and groom to hire a belly dancer for their wedding. Short Break In Las Vegas

February 18, 2008 · 1 Comment

Although not many people would think of going on a short break in Las Vegas, if a week of intense thrills and excitement in a fast – paced lifestyle is something you crave then this is definitely the place to be.

One of the best things about Las Vegas is that you don’t ever have to leave your hotel if you don’t want to. The newest, most spectacular and popular casinos in Las Vegas are located along the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, known as “The Strip”. The majority of them cater for everything you could ever desire while on a short break in Las Vegas including the all important casino.

The Paris hotel is one of the most unique places to stay whilst on a short break in Las Vegas with its replica of the Eiffel Tower sitting on top of it. The views are spectacular and you can even have dinner in the restaurant in the tower.

The MGM Grand Hotel Casino is based on the theme of a large Hollywood movie studio and is truly spectacular. With 16 restaurants, a small shopping mall, large dance club, a 16,325 seat auditorium and even an amusement park you would think that it is a whole resort not just one hotel.

Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino is one of the newer hotel casinos famous for its exotic island motif with a huge tropical bay, sandy beach and swimming pools. There is a lot on offer in the form of entertainment including a spa, shopping mall, 12,000 seat events centre, House of Blues and much more.

The ancient Egyptian motif and huge Sphinx attract many people to the Luxor Hotel Casino. A distinctive all – glass pyramid with 4,400 rooms, six restaurants, an Olympic sized swimming pool and other facilities, this hotel is a popular choice amongst many tourists who go on a short break in Las Vegas.

Other than the obvious there is so much to do in the buzzing city of Las Vegas. Don’t miss the rare opportunity to participate in the zero gravity space flights that make you feel weightless. Although expensive, a trip aboard the specially designed Boeing 727 which performs effects of a real space flight is well worth it.

One of the most popular attractions on the strip is The Fremont Street Experience. There is plenty of good fun and entertainment including a lightshow, restaurants, some of the largest screens in the world and other attractions. This is a definite must on your short break in Las Vegas and is even free which is an advantage to those who have spent all their money in the casinos. If you just can’t tear yourself away from the casinos then you can take a 30 minute lesson at the Las Vegas Hilton and learn how to become a pro. With so much to see and do a short break in Las Vegas makes a perfect getaway for everyone.
